Wine on Tap
Even though it doesn’t come out of a bottle, it’s still wine. Just better, cheaper and greener. Why?

Each of the wines is pumped from a 5-gallon stainless steel keg, or a ‘sankey’ in the language of beer. A thin layer of inert nitrogen maintains the anærobic environment inside the keg and protects the wine inside from oxidation. As the wines have never been bottled, there is no risk of cork taint.

In keeping with our principles of local sourcing and environmental responsibility, wine on tap eliminates the number of bottles produced, labels printed, cork trees harmed and shipping boxes constructed. When kegs are empty, they go back to the wineries to be cleaned and used again.

Since the steep expense of bottling has been removed from the equation, we are able to offer excellent Northern California wines at substantially lower prices. Wine on tap not only allows us to stay local and affordable, it means we get a constantly rotating selection of limited barrel wines from Napa, Sonoma and even Oakland rock-star producers.

Currently featuring: Antic, Periscope Cellars, SaintsburyViansa and Vintap.

BEER: Now serving Oakland's own Linden Street Black Lager on tap. We also have locally bottled Trumer Pils and Drake's Amber.
